AMV Contest Info and Rules

Thank you for your interest in Hamacon’s 2012 Anime Music Video contest. Please read all the contest rules before submitting your AMV.  Our goal is to fit as many AMV’s in our allowed time frame as possible. Hamacon attendees who come to the AMV contest will be allowed to vote for their favorite AMV in all  categories. Thus compliance of the rules is necessary or  your amv will be subject for disqualification with no expectations. The AMV Director reserves the right to re-assign videos to other categories if need be. Not all AMV’s will be able to be shown, so it is up to the AMV Directors discretion to choose which will be shown.

AMV’s will be shown Friday night, but the winners will be announced during intermission of the Cosplay Contest on Saturday evening.

AMV Contest Rules

AMV’s submitted for the contest must abide by the following rules:

- Must be Submitted by Friday May 25, 2012 at 11:59 PM CST

- Must  Not exceed 5 minutes in length

- No credits on the AMV. (No watermarks/logos/artist tags, ect.)

- No Higher rating than PG 13

- Racist and political content is not allowed

- You are only allowed to enter one AMV per category

- There needs to be at least 1 – 3 seconds of black space before the video

- Must contain 75% of either Japanese Animation or Video Game footage

- Video resolution should be no lower than frame width of 640 and frame height of 480

- Video  must be of clear viewing quality

- Each video must be submitted with a completed entry form

- You must be the creator of the AMV being submitted

- Must be present when winners are announced to win the Fan Favorite Award

- Must provide link where we can download your amv (ex: animemusicvideos.org or rapidshare.com)
